After the Government’s announcement last night of additional restrictions, it is with much disappointment and sadness that we are forced to announce the temporary closure of our Animal Park. This will be effective from 8am Thursday 26 March until further notice.
We made this difficult decision to ensure the safety of our guests and to demonstrate our commitment to preventing the transmission of COVID-19 through our community.
Keepers will remaining working in our Animal Park and our animals will continue to receive the highest level of attention and care.
The good news –
As the Animal Park be staffed by our Keepers, we will be able to offer our Park Passholders private entry to the Park between the hours of 9am-4pm each day. This will only be open to one group at a time (max 5) for a one hour period. We believe it is still important to offer our community some animal therapy and ensure our animals receive some human interaction.
Please ring in advance when you would like to come up and we will welcome you at the Park Entry. Our Keepers will provide talks and access to animals but there will however with no contact activity such as rabbit petting and we will enforce social distancing.
Café Macca will remain open for takeaway. 9am to 4pm daily. We will be serving our healthy and delicious meals and Barista made coffees from our takeaway window. You are welcome to order in advance and drive up to collect.
Our nut bar will close however our fine food section and ice-cream bar will remain open so you can purchase delicious treats and pay for them at the Café. Our gift store will close.
Thank you for your thoughts at this time and we hope all our customers stay safe and healthy.
